On this day, you will be going around the city of Delhi and taking in most its touristy sights. The first stop will be Birla Mandir, which also goes by the name of Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple, and was the first Hindu temple to be built in Delhi. Next up is the Lotus Temple, which derives its name from the lotus-like shape of the temple.

Go to Rajghat, a memorial complex where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination in 1948. Finish your exploration of Delhi by visiting the Indira Gandhi Memorial, which was once the place of residence of Indira Gandhi. Later in the day, board a train to move to Amritsar.

Once you reach Amritsar, check-in to your hotel and head out to offer your prayers at the revered Golden Temple. Also known as Harmandir Sahib, it is a primary religious spot for the Sikhs and served as a site for the Singh Sabha Movement between 1883 and the 1920s. It was also a centre of the Punjabi Suba movement between 1947 and 1966. There is a manmade pool located at the site of the temple, which was completed in 1577 by Guru Ram Das, the fourth Sikh Guru.

After having lunch, proceed to visit the Jallianwala Bagh, a memorial park built to honour the memory of those who died in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919. You will also be visiting Wagah Border, the international border that separates India and Pakistan. Return to your hotel for the night.

In the morning, depart Amritsar and drive to Shimla. Upon reaching your hotel in Shimla, check-in to your hotel and relax for a bit. In the evening, enjoy a round of shopping at Mall Road. Spend the night at your hotel in Shimla.

In the morning, have your breakfast at your hotel and leave to visit the Himalayan Nature Park in Kufri. Situated at a height of 2,600 metres, it is located close to 18 km from Shimla and is sprawled over an area of 90 hectares.

The park was once a musk deer farm before it was recognised by the Central Zoo Authority of India as a full-fledged nature park, after which it was given its name in 1996. Some of the plant species present at this park are potentillas, geraniums, ground orchids, and primulas. The animals you can spot at the Himalayan Nature Park include the Himalayan blue sheep, Himalayan wolf, musk deer, sambar deer, leopard cat, barking deer, and cheer pheasant.

After enjoying a healthy breakfast, leave Shimla and head for Manali. On the way, lay your eyes on the Beas River, Sutlej River, and Kullu Valley. Stop by a shawl factory at Kullu, after which you can continue your journey to Manali post your lunch. You will be reaching Manali in the evening and you can relax around your hotel for the night.

Today, you will be driven to Rohtang Pass, which is an iconic high mountain pass that stands at a height of 3,980 metres. It is a connecting point between the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys and the Kullu Valley. Rohtang Pass stays open from May to November. While you’re at this mountain pass, you can engage in thrilling activities such as paragliding, mountain biking, snow scootering, and skiing. In the evening, drive back to Manali.

On this day, you will be visiting two temples in Manali. The first one you will be going to is the Shri Vashishtha Temple, which is situated in a village named Vashishtha, about 3 km from Manali’s city centre. The temple is dedicated to Vashishtha, who is among the oldest and most revered Vedic sages. Decorated with intricate and exquisite wooden carvings, the temple is said to be over 4,000 years old. The interior of the temple contains traditional murals, figurines, and paintings. There is a black statue of Sage Vashishtha placed within the temple, which was built using granite and wrapped in a white dhoti.

The second temple you will be visiting today is Hadimba Devi Temple, dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, who was the wife of Bhima. The temple dates back to the 16th century and was built by Maharaja Bahadur Singh. Standing 24 metres tall, a cedar forest surrounds the temple at the foot of the Himalayas. The temple is said to be constructed around a cave where Hidimbi Devi used to meditate. The Goddess Hidimbi Devi is a highly revered deity in Manali.

Later in the day, leave for Chandigarh. In the afternoon, have your lunch and enjoy a boat ride on Sukhna Lake. Spend the night at your hotel in Chandigarh.

This day will be dedicated to visiting some of the most famous tourist sites in Chandigarh. The first place will be the Rock Garden of Chandigarh, a sculpture garden that also goes by the name of Nek Chand Saini’s Rock Garden of Nathupur because the garden’s founder was named Nek Chand Saini. Visit Pinjore Gardens and Rose Garden before leaving for Delhi after having your lunch. Check-in to your hotel in Delhi and enjoy a relaxing night.
